A
magazine is a periodical publication containing a variety
of articles.
Magazines are typically published weekly,
biweekly, monthly, bimonthly or quarterly, with a date on the cover that
is in advance of the date it is actually published. They are often printed
in color on coated paper.
They fall into two broad categories:
consumer magazines and business magazines.

Fever, also known as pyrexia, or a febrile
response, is a medical symptom which describes an increase in internal
body temperature to levels which are above normal (37 degrees Celsius,
98.6 degrees Fahrenheit). Fever should not be confused with Hyperthermia,
which is an increase in body temperature over the body’s thermoregulatory
set-point (approximately 37 degrees Celsius). A fever is most accurately
characterized as a temporary elevation in the body’s thermoregulatory
set-point, which is usually by about 1-2 degrees Celsius. This elevation
in thermoregulatory set-point means that the previous "normal body
temperature" would be considered hypothermic. Effector mechanisms, such as
increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, activation of brown
adipose tissue and muscular shivering attempt to counteract the perceived
hypothermia, thereby reaching the new thermoregulatory
set-point.

A literary
magazine is a periodical devoted to literature in a broad
sense. Literary magazines usually publish short stories, poetry and essays
along with literary criticism, book reviews, biographical profiles of
authors, interviews, and letters. Literary magazines are often called
literary journals, or little magazines, which is not meant as a pejorative
but instead as a contrast with larger commercially oriented magazines. In
general, literary magazines function as a sort of literary nursery for
writers by publishing new works by authors who are not yet established or
well known.

Peach
magazine |
The peach
(Prunus persica) is a tree that bears a juicy fruit of the
same name. It has a single large seed encased in hard wood (called the
"pit" or "stone"), yellow or whitish flesh, a delicate aroma, and a
velvety skin. Peaches, along with cherries, plums and apricots, are stone
fruits (drupes). Cultivated peaches are divided into freestone and
clingstone varieties, depending on whether the flesh sticks to the pit;
both kinds can be any color. Peaches with white flesh typically are very
sweet with little acid flavor, while yellow-fleshed peaches typically have
an acidic tang coupled with sweetness. Both colors often have some red on
their skin. Low-acid white-fleshed peaches are the most popular kinds in
China, Japan, and neighboring Asian countries, while Europeans and North
Americans have historically favored the acidic, yellow-fleshed
kinds.

Football is the name given to a number of
different team sports. The most popular of these world wide is Association
football (also known as soccer), however the term is also applied to Rugby
football (Rugby union and Rugby league), American football, Australian
rules football, Gaelic football, and Canadian football.
An Australian rules football match at
the Richmond Paddock, Melbourne, in 1866. (A wood engraving by Robert
Bruce.)When the English language word "football" originated, it referred
to a wide variety of games in medieval Europe, which were played on foot —
that is, by peasants — as opposed to the games played by horse-riding
aristocrats. Therefore the name has always implied a variety of games
played by people on foot, not just those that involved kicking a
ball.
